Any avid reader has compiled a list of books they want to read. I’m guilty of doing that and everyone else is probably guilty of that. Unfortunately, I don’t have a written list so I often forget what books to read. I also have a friend who requested a list from me of books to read. Every time she comes over I show her
10+ new books a new book that she should read.
I have a lot of books that I like and you can check it out if you truly desire. But this post is about what’s on my TBR list.
The Final Step (Book 3 in Lock & Key) by Ridley Pearson
I first read book 1 last winter and completely fell in love. Sherlock Holmes on a twist in a modern setting. He’s a teenager in the books yet still has that amazing detection of right and wrong. I’ve read book one and two multiple times and I’m waiting for the 3rd book. The library at our house doesn’t carry it yet, so I should put in a request for it. Then I might get it earlier. >:)
The Hobbit by J. R. Tolkien
I went on summer vaca with my family and another family whos related to is. My uncle is a book nerd like me so for 15 minutes around the fire each day we would discuss books and he told me to read the Hobbit. I would love to read it and I’m still waiting for my book to come. I’m the 5th hold on 1 copy. That means I have to wait 2 months for it to come. Yay.
The Orphan’s Wish by Melanie Dickerson
The books can get pretty repetitive, but I like the sword fights and battles more the mushy gushy romantic parts. I have one of the books, I like that the girl rescues the prince instead of him rescuing her. I think I’ve read all of her books that the library offers because I feel like buying the books.
Pretties by Scott Westerfield
I’ve read the first book in seventh grade and I really want to read the rest of the series. I saw it at the second-hand bookstore, but I didn’t have any money on me. We must go back and buy that fabulous book.
Unblemished by Sara Ella
My mom took a picture of it when at the bookstore without me. I literally will do anything to buy that book. It looks like a book I’d love to read and now life has no meaning until I can read the trilogy. I have recently bought the entire trilogy and am waiting until school starts to read it.
Under the Secret Sky by Heather Maclean
This is another book I recently bought and am really looking forward to reading it. It’s about some Scottish people and I would love to visit Scotland someday, Until then, I’ll live off books set in Scotland.
Losing Brave by Bailee Madison and Stefne Miller
This book sounds insanely interesting and it’s taking every bit of willpower to wait until school starts to read this masterpiece. It’s about these twins and one of them goes missing and it just sounds amazing!
Crossed by Ally Condie
I have read the first book and it honestly sounds pretty interesting. In the first book, there is this girl and she is Matched with this other guy who is an orphan. I won’t spoil it to anyone who is looking to read it. But I must tell if you like books set in the future, you’ll love this book.
Spy School Goes South by Stuart Gibbs
If you could see the cover, you’d notice the pun. It’s of a guy standing in water, you know on the beach. Get it? I’ve loved all of his other books and am currently the 20th hold on 8 copies. Pray that no one loses those 8 copies.
Hide and Seek by Maya Gray
I just couldn’t help but include this! This wonder of a book was written by one of my friends, Maya Gray. It’s about a missing friend and I’m just so happy for her. Go support her on her blog, Life Behind the Camera.
And that is all of the books that I want to read. Or that I can think of right now. I’m sure I have plenty of other books filed away. Oh! Like Lord of the Rings!
I hope you have an awesome fall!
