Hello ladies and gents, how be it?
I come to you with a book tag and news I’ve been hinting about for the past month. So without further ado, I present to you: The Seven Book Question Tag.
I was tagged by the lovely Abigail Harder from Books, Life, and Christ. She has an amazing blog and if you’re looking to add books to your TBR, Abigail does tons of book reviews.
- Thank the person who tagged you
- Answer the questions given
- Tag other bloggers
- Give them some new questions
Let the questions commence.
What is one genre you can do without?
Chick lit. I don’t like a book that is only mushy gushy romance with girls fawning and throwing themselves all over the boy.
What is your favorite part of reading?
Seeing the world in my head as the scene plays out. If it’s a really good book, it’s like I’m no longer home and am experiencing everything right beside the characters.
How many books do you own?
I only counted the books I had in my room, which is 118. But a bunch of my books are in my sister’s room or downstairs. So I would say around 175 in total.
How many books are on your to-be-bought list?
I don’t have a specific number, but any book that I can’t find at a library or book I borrowed that I loved is on that list.
How many books are on your to-be-read list?
What is one cliche you love?
I don’t love this cliche, but it’s probably my favorite if the author pulls it off.
I only like love triangles if a) my ship sails, b) the other character isn’t left heartbroken, and c) it isn’t cheesy.
Who are your top ten authors?
- Marissa Meyer
- Marie Lu
- Mary Weber
- Nadine Brandes
- Rick Riordan
- J.R.R. Tolkien
- Lorie Langdon
- Shannon Messenger
- Andrew Klavan
- Sara Ella
And anyone else who thinks this tag could be interesting.
My questions to you:
- What was the worst book you read?
- What is your favorite genre to read?
- Do you read snippets aloud to unsuspecting family members?
- Have you ever considered writing a book?
- Do you prefer starting a series that has finished several years ago or a series where you wait a year for next book?
- What is favorite reading spot?
- How many books do you own?
And now the moment you’ve been waiting for for the entirety of this blog post. My BIG news!
I launched a collaboration blog with a bunch of my friends this week! Mya, Merie, Jorja, and I have been working hard all summer long on this blog, and it was finally being released to the world on October 7, 2019.
We were considering holding a blog tour but seeing as NaNoWriMo is right around the corner, people may be too busy to sign-up. But we still wanted to have a blog tour.
So from December 9-14, we’re hosting the blog tour. If you’re interested in joining, click here to sign up.
If you haven’t seen the blog yet, go check it out right now. That’s all I have for you today, so see you next time.
